This year the society is 35 years old. Apart from the usual outings we are hoping to have a week away (maybe Lanzarote) later in the year September/October. We'll keep you informed when we have more information.

This year we are starting later than usual but we have 9 outings booked starting on 3rd June, see the'outings' page for details. If things work out we are hoping to get a weekend away later in the year,

This year's AGM will be on Monday 27th January 2020 at 8:30pm.
ALL members are asked to attend this most important meeting of the year.
29-10-2019
Congratulations to Derek Kelly the winner of the Spain/Bonamont outing with 32points off 6. Derek done enough to also take the Player of the Year and Club Championship.

The next outing has been changed to Deer Park on November 6th.
It won't be long now before we head off to Salou, Spain at the end of the month for our 30th year's trip away celebrations. Below is a link to the Itinerary.

Next Outing is Pete Daly's Captain's Day to Ardee Golf Club on Friday 16th August.
A bus is provided and it will LEAVE the Racecourse at 10:15am SHARP.
The return bus leaves Ardee GC at 10:30pm.

Members may leave their golf clubs in the Racecourse on Thursday and Friday night for collection the next day, Friday or Saturday

The cost of the day is €50.00 included Golf, Prizes, Dinner and Bus.

At last night's AGM it was decided to allow all members play in the 'weekend away' competition regardless of whether or not they are staying away with the group. 

Any member wishing to do so MUST CONTACT THE SECRETARY THE DAY BEFORE THE OUTING.

2015

Congrats to Ollie Ryan winning the Player of the Year by a clear 16 points. I think this is the biggest margin that I can remember. Also well done to Eddie Nolan Jnr winner at Beaverstown.

Next outing is the Fun Day at Swords Open on 4th November.

A great weekend was had in Port Laoise.  Pete Daly won the Liam Hussey trophy with 34 points.

Next outing to Royal Tara on 15th July at 13:30

The Outing to Ashbourne on 6th May is CANCELLED.  The course is too wet to take buggies.

New date for Ashbourne, Wednesday 27th May at 1:30pm.

 2015 got of to a good start in Sillogue. Well done to Mick O'Reilly overall winner. Ollie Ryan & Robert Farrell won class 1&2 respectively. Next outing to Elm Green. Breakfast served first so make sure to arrive early.

A new season is upon us and we have a great selection of outings this year. Once again Tony has managed to get us a great deal for the weekend away.  Check out the outings page.

Ray Corr's Captain's Day went off very well. Balbriggan, as per usual, was in excellent condition. Congrats to Shane for taking the big prize and the club championship.

Ray Corr (27) was victorious at Ardee beating Gerro on the back 9 36pts.  Gerro took Class 1 and Terry O'Dowd (27) Class 2 with 33pts..  Stephen O'Dowd finished strong enough to win the Player of the Year.

John Connolly was the winner at Craddockstown, beating Stephen O'Dowd on the back nine.  The Player of the Year is hotting up with only one round left to play Stephen is leading by 3 from Derek Kelly with Mick O'Reilly 1 point further back.  So all to play for at Ardee on 2nd October. Tee Time from 11am.

Andy Brunton's Captain' Day  went well in Hollywood Lakes even though the weather did try to to mess it up with a couple of heavy cloud bursts.  Stephen O'Dowd(11) won the Captain's Prize with 34pts. C1 Mick O'Reilly(16) with 31pts. and C2 Andy Cassidy(28) with 29pts.  Stephen also won the 'Club Championship' by two points with a total of 92pts. It's tight at the top of the 'Player of the Year' table With Stephen O'Dowd and Mick O'Reilly both on 185 and Derek Kelly on 184 with 2 outings left to play.

Beechpark is always a pleasure to play especially in perfect conditions like we had on the day. Ollie Ryan came back with a bang winning on his 1st outing of the year with 36pts.off 17. Well done Ollie.  Alex Kelly won C1 with 35pts. off 11 and Ed. Molloy C2 with 31 off 28.

A good weekend away was had by all, who attended, to Cavan, despite the atrocious weather on Friday.  Anyway the weather didn't bother Shane O'Kelly too much as he won the Liam Hussey Trophy with 33pts. Mick O'Reilly C1 and John Connolly C2 both with 31pts.

Well the year got off to a good start at Beaverstown. Good weather made a welcome change.  Alex Kelly took the Overall with 37(13), Eddie Nolan Class 1 with 36(19) and Shane O'Kelly Class 2 34(31).

As you know Beaverstown was cancelled due to bad weather. So we had to wait a little bit longer to sort out the Player of the Year.  Luckily we were able to get Deer Park on short notice.  Eddie Nolan was the Overall winner on the day, with Derek Kelly winning Class 1 and the Player of the Year, Eddie Molloy snr. took Class 2.

Well that's the end of the 2012 season and let's hope for better weather next year.

Well done to Derek Kelly, Overall winner at Beechpark, just beating Alex Kelly on a count back, Alex won C1 and Shane O'Kelly won C2.  The next outing to Beaverstown, on 18th October, will sort out the Player of the Year. Stephen O'Dowd leads Derek by 5pts with John Connolly just 1pt further back.

Congratulations to Dave Thornberry on winning the Captain's Prize scoring 40pts off 17. Eddie Burke and Shane O'Kelly won c1 & c2 respectively.  The Club Championship was tied by John Connolly and Stephen O'Dowd.

Next outing is Captain's Day to Luttrellstown Castle G.C. This Saturday 18th August, tee time 1pm. Places are limited, so if you want to bring a visitor please contact Robert or Tony in advance. Price €50 includes prizes and meal. The meal will be served back at the Racecourse at 8:30pm.

Congratulations to Mick O'Reilly the Captain's prize winner. Mick won on the back 9 just pipping Derek Kelly. There were 2 better scores on the day, but these didn't qualify as they did not have enough cards in this year.  Also well done to Robert Farrell and Stephen O'Dowd who shared the Club Championship with 90 points each.

This year's weekend away takes place on the 13th, 14th, & 15th May. Staying in Abbey Court Hotel, Nenagh. Playing Roscrea on Friday 13th at 11:00am and Nenagh on Saturday 14th at 1:00pm.  Cost €170 includes 2 x B&B, 1 Dinner (Fri.), 2 x golf and prizes.

Our annual Race Night fundraiser will now be held on Friday 22nd October 2010 in the Racecourse Inn. Congrats to Stephen O'Dowd winner of the last outing at Seapoint.  That's 3 overall wins in a row, a new record. Stephen also took the Player of the Year, pipping Derek Kelly by 1 point.
